We are calling out to ALL women on Mt Lemmon to join our organization to make a difference in our community and have fun being a part of an amazing group of strong minded and brilliant women!\u00a0 Join us!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We also need our voices and efforts heard on social media.\u00a0 Members approved moving forward with development of a website and management of our Facebook page. Susan Miller-Cochran and Diana Kachan volunteered to help move us forward.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our popular Cabin Tours are on June 13, followed by the Membership Luncheon on June 27th.\u00a0\u00a0We need volunteers for setup and cleanup efforts for the luncheon. We need help with moving tables and chairs to the cabin. Please reach out to Sandi Triplett.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We need members to walk in the annual Fourth of July Parade. We are going strong with 50+ years! We encourage families, children, donkeys, and dogs to join in on the fun of participating! There will be a flyover, band performances, classic cars, rescue donkeys, and a celebration of America\u2019s 250th birthday.\u00a0 Reach out to Hazel Rugg, \u00a0parade coordinator, for information.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We concluded our meeting with installation of new officers. \u00a0Jennifer Shacter conducted the installation\u00a0\u00a0with a balance of humor, heartfelt tributes, and tradition.\u00a0\u00a0The new officers of the MLWC are:\u00a0\u00a0Christina Grossman, President, Nancy Sjostrum, First Vice President, Teresa Wilson, Second Vice President, Donna Schotter, Secretary, and Karen Burrows, Treasurer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The next meeting is set for June 20<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 The entire community is invited to attend our June Speaker Series at 2:00pm.\u00a0 Dr. Salywon, from the Phoenix Desert Botanical Gardens, will present on the wild orchid that grows on Mt Lemmon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome MLWC Officers of 2026-2028 by Christina Grossman, MLWC President We, as members of the Mount Lemmon Women's Club, gathered in May to welcome new and returning members, Diana Kachan and Susan Shomo. \u00a0Welcome!
